About Tonya Newton

ADHD coaching and therapy support for children and adults

I’m Tonya Newton, MSW, LSW, ADHD-CCSP.

Listening is the foundation of my coaching approach. Let me help you discover how to overcome your fears and live the life you deserve. I’m a licensed social worker in South Bend, Indiana, offering trauma-informed Telehealth therapy and brief, solution-focused counseling services. I will give you the knowledge, tools, and safe space you need to discover and work with who you are.

I graduated from Indiana University South Bend with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, and in 2020 I opened my part-time private therapy practice, “Going Mental Health.” Since then, I have been committed to supporting clients through life’s challenges with compassion, patience, and practical strategies that create real change.

I enjoy working with neurodiverse adults and hold certification in ADHD assessment and treatment. My work focuses on meeting each person where they are, understanding their unique experiences, and guiding them toward greater self-awareness, confidence, and resilience. Whether you are managing daily stress, navigating relationships, or facing transitions, my goal is to walk alongside you, offering encouragement and solutions tailored to your needs.

Committed to Community

I am also a volunteer clinician with Mental Health Awareness of Michiana’s (MHAM’s) Pro Bono Counseling Project (PBCP).

The PBCP connects individuals, couples, and families who are uninsured, underinsured, and unable to afford the cost of mental health treatment with a volunteer, licensed, and insured mental health clinician.

Volunteer clinicians provide short-term counseling at no cost.
