About Tonya Newton
Hi, I’m Tonya Newton, LCSW. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, ADHD coach, and someone who personally understands the unique challenges that come with living in a world that often feels overwhelming.
I became an ADHD coach after years of working in the mental health field and realizing how many individuals were struggling not because of who they are, but because they hadn’t been given tools that truly fit their brains. As someone who is AuDHD (autistic + ADHD), I know firsthand the difference that compassionate support and practical strategies can make.
My journey combines both professional training and personal experience. That blend helps me support clients not just from theory, but from a place of lived understanding.

My Approach
📌 Counseling (Indiana Residents Only)
Counseling provides a safe, confidential space to process emotions and life challenges. I take a trauma-informed, strength-based, and solution-focused approach, meaning we’ll work together to understand your story while building practical tools for daily life. Counseling is HIPAA-protected and available only to Indiana residents.
📌 Coaching (ADHD & PDA)
Coaching is more action-focused and collaborative. Together, we’ll build routines, strategies, and systems that help you reduce overwhelm and move toward your goals. Coaching is available virtually beyond Indiana and is not therapy — it’s a partnership to help you thrive in your everyday life.
Values & Inclusivity
Going Mental Health is an inclusive, affirming space for LGBTQIA+ and polyamorous individuals. I believe everyone deserves care that respects who they are and honors their identity. My practice is grounded in compassion, understanding, and respect.
Currently accepting clients via Telehealth!
From my experience working with families and individuals, I know that change happens in all of our lives.
If you are ready to put the work in and explore yourself on a deeper level, you will feel growth.
I strongly believe that each of us has potential and can fulfill the goals in our lives.
If you want to explore and set some goals together, contact me.
Committed to Community
I am also a volunteer clinician with Mental Health Awareness of Michiana’s (MHAM’s) Pro Bono Counseling Project (PBCP).
The PBCP connects individuals, couples, and families who are uninsured, underinsured, and unable to afford the cost of mental health treatment with a volunteer, licensed, and insured mental health clinician.
Volunteer clinicians provide short-term counseling at no cost.
