Counseling (Indiana Residents Only)

Professional, licensed counseling for Indiana residents — compassionate support to help you move forward.

My Therapy Approach

My approach carries naturally into a digital space. Even at a distance, my goal is to help you feel seen, heard, and understood so you can do your healing work in a safe and supportive environment.

Your first appointment is about 50 minutes. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in and begin exploring your therapy goals. I’ll also share more about my approach so you can get a sense of whether I’m a good fit for your needs. During this time, we’ll go over scheduling, key policies, session frequency, and you’ll have space to ask any questions you’d like.
Payment is due at the first session and can be made by credit or debit card. A card will be securely kept on file for future appointments, and session fees are processed through an auto-pay system. HSA and FSA cards are also accepted.

  • Therapy can be helpful if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. It offers a calm, supportive space to explore what you’re experiencing, understand patterns that keep repeating, and learn healthier ways to cope with stress, emotions, and daily challenges. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. If you’re looking for clarity, healing, or more stability in your life, therapy may be a good place to start.

  • Your first session is simply about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brings you here, what you’d like support with, and what you hope to get out of therapy. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. You can bring questions, concerns, or anything you feel is important. My goal is to make the experience comfortable, calm, and at your pace.

  • Telehealth, also called online counseling or video therapy, is available for all clients. It’s a convenient option when you are short on time, unsure about trying therapy, or just prefer to do therapy from the comfort of your home. Additionally it’s a beneficial option for individuals living in rural communities, and those with a disability that makes travel difficult. Sessions are conducted through secure video platforms. All you need is a device that connects to the internet and some privacy.

  • -Individual Sessions (50 minutes) - $150

    Fees:

I am currently considered out-of-network from all insurance providers.

Choosing a private pay option has certain benefits for you:

Insurance companies require that you meet “medical necessity” and specific criteria for diagnosing a mental disorder, which is often not needed or relevant to our work. You won’t have a diagnosis label permanently attached to your medical record. Your records are protected, which means that very personal information about you cannot be obtained by your insurance company. Rather than your insurance company dictating your care, you and I can work collaboratively on a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. I will gladly provide you with documentation, called a “super bill”, to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement purposes.

Effective January 1, 2022, federal law requires all healthcare providers (including mental health providers) to provide a Good Faith Estimate Notice to consumers to comply with the No Surprises Act. The Act requires providers to inform their uninsured and private pay patients that they have a right to a “Good Faith Estimate” to help them estimate the expected charges they may be billed.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

    cancellations:

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment for any reason, please contact the office or cancel 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time. You will be charged the full session fee if you cancel less than 48 hours in advance.

  • If you’re interested in exploring whether ADHD may be part of your experience, you can visit the full assessment page for details on the process. The assessment provides clarity, understanding, and guidance on next steps.

  • I offer limited pro bono slots to support individuals who may benefit from therapy but face financial barriers. These sessions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and based on availability. You can learn more or inquire through the contact page.

  • All therapy services follow ethical and legal guidelines to protect your safety, privacy, and rights. This includes confidentiality policies, telehealth rules, client expectations, and practice requirements reviewed during onboarding. Please read through the full Terms & Policies document for complete details before beginning services.

  • Therapy should not be ended casually or abruptly. The termination process is just that - a process. Together, we take a step back and look at the growth that has unfolded over the course of treatment. We will also spend time discussing plans for maintaining your progress.

  • Just click the button and fill out the short form. I’ll reach out by phone to talk about what you’re looking for, and if it feels like a good fit for both of us, we’ll schedule your first session.
